Depending on chosen wind, this powerhouse of a brushless motor is so flexible that it can be driven from 5S to 8S lipo packs. Our many test flights have demonstrated that 5S is recommended for sports flying, where 6S supports also very powerful 3D capabilities. An 8S setup is not recommended unless you already own lipos for this configuration. The lower weight of 5S or 6S suits the Samson II better.
